Camping Policies

 
 

Noise

Quiet time: 11:00 pm-8:00am. During these hours, please be considerate of your fellow campers. ABSOLUTELY NO MUSIC AFTER 11 PM! No loud music at anytime. Sweltzer Creek Campground is a family campground and will not tolerate parties. Parents are responsible for the conduct of their children and must have them in their campsite by 11:00 pm.


Visitors

All visitors to all campers need to check in at office to get a ‘VISITORS PASS’ that they will need to display on the dash of their car. Each visitor must be off campground property by 10pm. Campers are responsible for the behavior of everyone on their site, if your visitor breaks the rules, the entire booking will be evicted.


Security

We have security on duty. If problems occur on or around your campsite that is making your stay unpleasant, or if the campground rules are being broken, please contact the SECURITY ON DUTY (604) 799-0171. Otherwise contact RCMP at (604) 792-4611 or 911 for all emergencies.


Check-In/Check-Out

Check-in is 1:00pm and check-out is noon.


Gates

Gates at the entrance of the campground are locked between 1am and 7am. If you need to leave the grounds between these times, please discuss with staff to make arrangements.


Pets

Strict enforcement of these rules is the only way we can accommodate pets.

  1. All pets must be kept on a leash at all times!

  2. You are responsible for any clean-ups!

  3. A plastic bag for waste must be carried at all times when walking your pet!


The owners of any pets caught breaking any of the above rules will be fined as follows:

  1. First Offense$10.00

  2. Second OffenseEviction!!


Campfires

All fires must be confined in existing fire pits. There will be absolutely NO BONFIRES! Signs will go up when there is a fire ban.


 

Camping Policies (strictly enforced)

Speed Limit

10 km/hr in the park. Watch for your fellow campers! Exceeding speed limit will result in an immediate eviction! It will not be tolerated! We would like to keep this a safe environment for all of our campers.


Swimming

No lifeguard on duty at any time. Swim at your own risk.


Garbage

Help us keep our campsite clean and safe from bears for you. Please dispose of your garbage in the garbage cans, and bottles/can into recycling cans located throughout the campground.


Washrooms

The washrooms will be maintained on a constant basis. Please treat our washrooms with respect and clean up after yourself. DO NOT THROW ANYTHING BUT TOILET PAPER IN TOILETS. Parents, please supervise your children in our washrooms. If our washrooms are in unsatisfactory condition, please report this to the staff on duty at office. Thank-you


Picnic Tables

There is a limit of 1 (one) table per site. Please do not move tables to and from other sites.


Bears

Yes, we do have bears and other wildlife, however they will not bother you unless provoked or surprised. Please report any sightings to the office so that it may be handled.


Traffic

Our campground is located within a community; therefore ABSOLUTELY NO OFF ROAD VEHICLES permitted.


Occupancy

Tenting sites include:

  1. 1 Family (2 adults + 4 children) or 2 Couples (4 adults)

  2. 1 Vehicle – each vehicle that registers will receive a ‘Camping Permit’ which must be displayed on the mirror the car. Security will be do checks.

  3. 1 sleeping Unit


Group sites include:

  1. Group Site #1 (40 persons) or GS #2 (30 persons)

  2. Group Site #3 + #4 (20 persons)


Please note: There are absolutely no refunds for campers that are evicted for breaking our rules!
